02-13-2013 Screening Subcommittee
MEETING of the Screening Subcommittee of the Burrillville Town Council to be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in the Town Building, 105 Harrisville Main Street, Harrisville, RI.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilors Edward J. Blanchard, Wallace F. Lees and David J. Place.

MEMBERS ABSENT:

Business to be considered and acted on:

1.       Motion to accept the minutes of the subcommittee meeting held December 12, 2012 and dispense with the reading of said minutes; to be considered and acted on.

 
2.       Review and act on applications for various boards:

·         Motion to recommend the reappointment of Joseph Schmeltz to the Board of Assessment Review for a three-year term to expire November 30, 2015; to be considered and acted on.

·         Motion to recommend the reappointment of Charlotte Gabrielson to the Personnel Board for a one-year term to expire January 31, 2014; to be considered and acted on.

·         Motion to recommend the reappointment of Charlotte Gabrielson to the Juvenile Hearing Board for a three-year term to expire on January 31, 2016; to be considered and acted on.


3.       Review and act on applications for various boards:

·         Motion to table the applications from Margaret Dudley and Aaron Coutu for Juvenile Hearing Board and Library Board of Trustees until such time as there are vacancies on those boards; to be considered and   
acted on.


 4.       Review and act on various board openings:

·         Motion to seek applicants for the position of alternate member on the Recreation Commission; to be considered and acted on.

·         Motion to table the position of Burrillville Extended Care board member subject to potential amendments to the ordinance.


 5.        Adjournment
